Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you lose the 2v2: Nautilus can hook you through your E cage if you misplace it, and Tristana's range advantage means she pokes you down before your Q stacks matter.
  • Post-6, your R becomes a legitimate kill threat on Tristana who is squishy, but Nautilus R will interrupt your combo if he hits you first, so you need to be the one initiating with E, not reacting to their engage.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to place E proactively in a position that forces Tristana to either walk into it or back off, then follow with W slow and Q for AP stacks — never use E reactively after Nautilus hooks you because it will be too late.
  • Coordinate with Jinx so she autos inside the cage while you Q for free stacks and poke.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should not roam early because your waveclear is weak pre-items and leaving Jinx alone against Nautilus is a death sentence.
  • After your first back with Lost Chapter, if you've shoved the wave and Jinx can handle herself briefly, a mid roam with E and R is viable since your burst is high enough to contribute a kill.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use your E as a panic button when Nautilus hooks you — by the time you cast it, you're already CC'd and the cage will miss or be irrelevant.
  • Save E for proactive setups or to block Nautilus's path to Jinx.
