Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose the 2v2: Nautilus has a hook, a root, and a slow that lets Tristana freely stack her E and burst you down before you can kite, and your Q cannon is too slow to punish safely while Veigar's E cage setup requires setup time you won't have.
- Post-6, the matchup becomes more even if Veigar lands his R on Tristana, but Nautilus R into Tristana R still threatens to one-shot you before you can react.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best trading pattern is to let Veigar place his E cage first, then switch to minigun (W) and spam autos inside the cage while Tristana is rooted — never initiate yourself since you have no escape and Nautilus will punish any forward step.
- Avoid extended trades where Tristana's E stacks build up, as her passive resets and your lack of mobility make you a free kill.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Push the wave hard with Q cannon to shove Tristana under tower, forcing her to CS under pressure and reducing Nautilus's hook angles since he needs open space to engage.
- If you're behind or the wave is even, freeze near your tower to deny Nautilus dive setups and keep Tristana from stacking her E on you freely.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never step forward to CS in minigun form without Veigar's E ready — Nautilus will hook you, Tristana will E you, and you have zero escape tools to survive the all-in.
- Respect the hook range at all times, even if it means losing a few CS.
