Who Wins
- Pre-6, Pyke + Soraka win the 2v2: your W poison stacks are slow to deal damage, Pyke can hook you before your E executes, and Soraka's healing outpaces your sustained damage output at this stage.
- Post-6, your R gives you a significant power spike as your AoE damage can hit both Pyke and Soraka simultaneously, and your Q invisibility lets you reposition to avoid Pyke's hook, but Pyke's R can still delete you if you are low.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best trading pattern is to use your Q to approach invisibly, stack your W poison on both enemies, then use your E to slow and detonate damage — coordinate with Vayne so she procs her W true damage during the same window your E fires, as the combined burst is much harder for Soraka to heal through.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Play for a slow push into a freeze near your tower early, as this denies Pyke roam opportunities and keeps you safer from his hook range; Pyke is extremely dangerous when he can roam freely, and a frozen wave forces him to stay in lane.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use your Q to engage aggressively into Pyke's hook range — your Q invisibility is a defensive and repositioning tool in this matchup, not an initiation tool, and wasting it offensively leaves you exposed to Pyke's full engage chain.
