Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win the 2v2 at level 1 through range advantage with your Q active, but level 2 is where Leona becomes genuinely dangerous — if she hits E+Q before you can E her away, the trade heavily favors them.
  • Post-6, Leona's R gives her a second CC that your E cannot escape if you are already rooted by Nautilus's passive, so the all-in post-6 is a coin flip at best and you should avoid extended fights.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to poke with autos at max range using your Q, bait out Leona's E by staying at the edge of her range, then E her away when she commits — this denies her the full CC chain and lets you reset with a free jump.
  • If Leona does land her combo, immediately E her to interrupt the chain and disengage rather than trying to fight through the CC.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Push the wave fast with your Q to deny Leona engage angles under your tower and to create reset opportunities — a fast-pushed wave also limits Jhin's ability to slow-push and punish you.
  • When the wave is in your favor near their tower, you can look for short trades, but never fight near your own tower where Leona's CC can trap you against terrain.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use your E offensively to jump onto Jhin unless Nautilus has already CC'd Leona, because Leona will immediately E+Q you while you are in their backline and you will die before Nautilus can peel.
  • Saving your E as a defensive tool against Leona's engage is almost always more valuable than using it for damage in this matchup.
