Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win the 2v2 if you land your E+Q combo cleanly, as Nautilus has a slower engage pattern and Tristana lacks burst to punish you before your lockdown resolves — however, Tristana's E reset and Nautilus's W passive slow make extended trades dangerous if you miss.
  • Post-6, your R adds a second hard CC layer that Tristana cannot escape with her E if you sequence E+Q into R, giving you a decisive edge in all-ins.

Synergy & Trading

  • Engage with your E onto Tristana specifically, not Nautilus, since Tristana is the damage threat and Nautilus's passive root will proc on Jhin anyway — your job is to chain CC on the carry so Jhin can land all four shots including the crit fourth.
  • Avoid trading without your E up; without it you are a melee champion with no gap-close walking into Tristana's range advantage.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You have no wave control tools, so let Jhin slow-push or freeze depending on the situation and focus entirely on vision control and positioning to threaten engages — do not waste time auto-attacking minions.
  • Prioritize deep vision in the river bushes so you can track Nautilus's roam path and mirror it or counter-engage when he leaves.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not engage when Tristana has her E available and is near her tower, as she can E you away, reset, and the trade immediately flips — wait for her to use E aggressively or to last-hit before committing.
  • Chaining your CC into a target that Nautilus has already rooted is wasted; coordinate with Jhin to target the un-CC'd enemy.
