Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you do not win the 2v2 cleanly — Tristana outranges you at level 1 with her Q active and Nautilus's passive root punishes your immobility severely since you cannot reposition after being rooted.
  • Post-6, if Leona lands her R first, you can follow with your R to finish kills, but you are still vulnerable to Nautilus R + Tristana all-in if Leona's engage is blocked or missed.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your optimal pattern is to let Leona initiate CC, then immediately place your W trap on the locked-down target before firing your fourth shot for the crit — this maximizes damage during the CC window when the enemy cannot dodge.
  • Never auto-attack into Nautilus's passive range without Leona's CC active, as the root will cancel your movement and expose you to Tristana's burst.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Slow-push the wave when possible to create a large wave that crashes under their tower, then back or rotate — this forces Nautilus to stay and denies him roam windows.
  • Avoid letting the wave freeze near their tower where Tristana's range and tower protection make trading impossible for you.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Never use your R as an initiation tool in this matchup — Nautilus can hook you mid-channel or Tristana can E into you and interrupt your positioning, wasting your ultimate entirely.
  • Your fourth-shot crit is your most important damage tool; do not waste auto-attack stacks on minions when an engage is imminent.
