LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you and Alistar win this lane — Alistar's level 2 W+Q combo forces Rakan and Samira to play extremely passive, and your range advantage lets you freely poke Samira who needs to be in melee range to be effective.
- Post-6, you maintain the advantage because your R can interrupt Samira's R channel and Alistar's R counters Rakan's R engage, but you must respect the burst window if both enemies have ultimates available simultaneously.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best trading pattern is to use E on Samira or Rakan during Alistar's CC chain to add the knockback damage and reset, then use your range to continue poking while they are displaced.
- Avoid extended melee trades because Samira's passive damage at close range is real, and Rakan's healing from Q will sustain them through prolonged poke if you are not dealing burst damage.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Push the wave with E to deny Samira farm and force her to last-hit under pressure — a fast-pushed wave also removes Rakan's ability to roam freely because he must stay to defend.
- At level 6, a pushed wave sets up a tower dive with Alistar that Rakan + Samira struggle to survive given their lack of reliable disengage.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use R reactively to escape Rakan's W engage if Samira has already dashed in — saving R to interrupt Samira's R channel mid-fight is far more valuable than using it as a panic button.
- Also avoid pushing so far forward that Rakan can W onto you and Alistar cannot reach in time to peel.
