Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Tristana + Alistar win most 2v2s because Alistar's level 2 W+Q combo is one of the hardest CC chains in the game and Tristana's E reset threat punishes any engage you attempt — your W engage is readable and Alistar can simply interrupt it or trade back harder.
  • Post-6, you gain meaningful engage threat with your R, but Alistar's R still negates your all-in if he uses it reactively, so you only win post-6 if you land R on both before Alistar can respond.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to use Q to heal Samira during poke phases, then look for a W engage only when Alistar has already used his W or Q on cooldown — engaging into a full-cooldown Alistar is a losing trade every time.
  • Coordinate with Samira so she builds her passive stacks during the engage window your W creates, as her R requires setup that your CC directly enables.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You have no meaningful wave control tools, so defer wave decisions to Samira and focus on vision control and positioning to threaten engages that force Tristana to play back.
  • Avoid pushing aggressively because a shoved wave gives Alistar free dive setup under your tower at level 6.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use W as your primary engage tool without confirming Alistar's W and Q are on cooldown — engaging into a full Alistar is not a 50/50, it is a losing trade that will burn your flash or your life.
  • Also avoid standing in a position where Alistar can W+Q you into Tristana's E knockback, as the combined displacement will kill you before Samira can respond.
