Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win the poke war because your Q outranges Jinx's Minigun autos and you can stack passively on minions while Thresh's hook threat keeps Jinx from walking up; however, Thresh's lantern gives Jinx a safety tool and his E can interrupt your Q animation if he plays aggressively.
  • Post-6, Jinx's R execute threat means you cannot let yourself get low, and your R has a long cast time that Thresh can interrupt with E, so the 2v2 becomes more even than your early lead suggests.

Synergy & Trading

  • Continuously Q the wave to stack your passive while weaving poke onto Jinx whenever she steps up to last-hit with Minigun; once you have meaningful stacks, your Q does enough bonus damage that short trades heavily favor you, especially since Jinx has no mobility to disengage.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Let Blitzcrank shove the wave with his autos and focus your Q exclusively on Jinx for poke rather than minions when she overextends; a pushed wave means Jinx is forced to walk up under pressure, and Blitzcrank's hook threat combined with your poke will eventually force a summoner spell or a death.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use your R in a straight line toward Jinx when Thresh has his E available — Thresh will flay you mid-flight and waste your cooldown entirely, leaving you vulnerable to a Jinx Fishbones AoE trade with no answer.
