Who Wins
- Pre-6, you are the dominant threat in this lane because your Q into W combo is faster than Thresh's Q and Jinx has no mobility to escape a hook; level 2 is your strongest spike and you should look for an aggressive hook the moment you hit it.
- Post-6, Thresh's R box can zone you away from Smolder and Jinx's R punishes any fight where Smolder gets low, so you need to hook Jinx specifically rather than Thresh to maintain kill pressure.
Synergy & Trading
- Hook Jinx when she steps up to last-hit, immediately W to close the gap, then R to silence her so she cannot use her W rocket or reposition; Smolder follows up with Q stacks damage and the kill is secured before Thresh can E you away.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should not roam — your entire value is the hook threat that pins Jinx in place and prevents her from freely farming; leaving Smolder alone against Jinx's Fishbones wave clear and Thresh's poke will cost you the wave and potentially Smolder's life.
Mistakes to Avoid
