Who Wins
- Pre-6, your Q hook threat and E repositioning give you strong peel and pick potential, but Leona's all-in at level 3 with full combo trades favorably if your Q is on cooldown; you win skirmishes by poking and disengaging, not by all-inning.
- Post-6, your R resets are powerful but Samira's R during Leona's lockdown will kill one of you before your R becomes relevant, so you must prevent the engage from landing cleanly.
Synergy & Trading
- Use your Q to hook Samira when she steps up to auto-attack, then E through her to reposition and let Tristana follow up with W — do not hook Leona as she is tankier and your hook on her simply gives Samira a free passive stack window.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should roam aggressively once the wave is shoved into Tristana's tower around level 6, as your R reset potential in side lanes and river skirmishes is extremely high value; Tristana can handle the lane short-term with her range, and a successful roam snowballs the map faster than winning a difficult 2v2.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your E as an engage tool onto Leona — she will Q you immediately after you land, turning your repositioning dash into a free extended stun for her, and Samira will R during the lockdown killing you before you can escape.
