Who Wins
- Pre-6, Alistar's level 2 all-in (W+Q combo) is a genuine threat that can kill you if you overextend for a hook — respect it and don't walk up aggressively before you have your full kit at level 3.
- Post-6, your R gives you a reliable point-and-click CC chain that Ashe cannot dodge, and combined with Samira's R this becomes a near-guaranteed kill if Ashe is caught even slightly out of position.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to walk up and threaten your Q to force Ashe and Alistar to back off, then hook Ashe when she overextends to poke — Samira dashes in immediately and you follow up with your E and W to keep Ashe locked down through the full Samira combo.
- Avoid hooking Alistar as your primary target since he is tanky and will simply use his own CC to disrupt Samira's follow-up.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should roam post-6 when the wave is pushed into the enemy tower, as your R is a reliable engage tool for mid lane and your hook can set up kills even without Samira.
- Avoid roaming pre-6 because leaving Samira alone against Ashe's poke and Alistar's potential all-in is a death sentence for her.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your Q blindly into Alistar's W range — if Alistar headbutts you away mid-hook animation or right after, you waste your primary engage tool and Samira has no safe entry.
- Always check Alistar's position before committing your hook, and prioritize hooking Ashe when she is separated even slightly from her support.
