Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win the poke war clearly — your W outranges Samira's Q and Nautilus has to walk up to hook, making him a free target for sustained W harassment that chunks him before he can engage.
  • Post-6, the dynamic shifts dangerously because Nautilus R into Samira R is a one-shot threat; you must respect their all-in range and never stand close enough for a point-and-click hook to reach you.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to continuously W poke Nautilus to keep him low enough that he cannot safely walk up for a hook, while using your passive-empowered autos on Samira whenever she tries to farm in range.
  • If Nautilus does hook Alistar or you, immediately use your R to stun Samira before she can build style stacks and reach her R threshold.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Play for a slow, controlled wave that stays near your side of the lane — this maximizes the distance Nautilus must travel to hook you and keeps you in range of your tower as a safety net.
  • Avoid letting the wave crash into your tower repeatedly, as that forces you to stand still farming under pressure and makes you an easy hook target.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not stand in a straight line with Alistar — Nautilus Q travels in a line and hooking both of you simultaneously removes all your peel.
  • Always position offset from Alistar so that a single hook cannot chain into an immediate Alistar CC disruption and a full Samira combo on you.
