Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Ezreal outranges you and can poke you down before you close the gap, making the 2v2 unfavorable unless you land a clean Q onto Ezreal when he overextends — level 2 all-in with E+W is your best window before Ezreal gets comfortable with his E escape.
  • Post-6, your R onto Ezreal is a near-guaranteed kill setup since he has no hard CC immunity, and Swain's R sustain becomes less relevant when he's chain-CCed by your full combo.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your job is to Q-engage onto Ezreal specifically, not Swain, since Swain wants to be in melee range and benefits from your CC extending his E drain time.
  • Land Q, auto-W-auto-E to stack your passive, and let Miss Fortune funnel damage into the stunned target — do not waste your combo on Swain who will simply heal through it with R.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You have no meaningful wave control tools, so defer wave decisions to Miss Fortune — your role is to maintain a threatening presence in brush to force Ezreal to play back, which indirectly lets Miss Fortune shove or freeze as needed.
  • Avoid standing in lane without a clear engage angle; you burn your presence value by being visible with no hook threat.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not Q into Ezreal when his E is available and off cooldown — he will simply sidestep or E away, you will be out of position, and Swain will punish you with E+R while you have no gap-close.
  • Always bait or wait for his E to be on cooldown before committing to an engage.
