LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you and Lucian win the 2v2 — your E zone forces Leona to either walk through it to engage or give up positioning, and your Q root into Lucian passive burst is one of the highest-damage short-trade combos in the bot lane.
- Post-6, Leona's R is a hard counter to your positioning since you are immobile and squishy, so you must play further back and use your R reactively rather than proactively.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best trading pattern is to place E between Leona and Kai'Sa to split their positioning, then Q the one who walks into it — if Leona is rooted, Lucian can freely burst Kai'Sa; if Kai'Sa is rooted, Leona has no follow-up.
- Never use Q and E simultaneously on the same target early; stagger them so you always have a root available if Leona tries to engage after your first ability lands.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should generally not roam pre-6 because Kai'Sa and Leona will immediately take Dragon or dive your tower the moment you leave — your presence in lane is what keeps Leona from freely engaging.
- Post-6, after a successful kill or when the wave is pushed in, a mid-roam with your R from the river bush is viable and can snowball your mid laner significantly.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not stand in a straight line behind Lucian — Leona's E will go through him to reach you, and being caught by her E without your Q available means you die with no escape tools, which is the single most common way Lux loses this matchup.
