LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you have the poke advantage with Q and E range, but Rakan's level 2 all-in bypasses your poke if you're not respecting his W range, which is roughly 600 units.
- Post-6, your R gives you a strong kill threat on cooldown, but Xayah's R makes her untargetable and will waste your ult if you cast it reactively, so you must bait it or coordinate with Caitlyn's ult first.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to Q root one or both enemies, let Caitlyn proc headshot on the rooted target, then E for the slow and additional damage — this maximizes Caitlyn's headshot uptime and your shield utility.
- Do not use E as your opener; save it to extend the root window or to shield Caitlyn when Rakan engages.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should not roam aggressively in this matchup because Xayah+Rakan have strong dive potential on your Caitlyn if she's left alone, and Rakan can follow your roam faster with his W.
- Roam only after a won fight where both enemies are recalled or dead, and only if mid is within walking distance with a clear target available.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not miss your Q and then walk up anyway — Rakan will punish any moment where your root is on cooldown by immediately engaging with W, and without Q available you have no reliable way to peel for Caitlyn.
- Wasting Q on minions when the enemy is in range is the single biggest mistake that loses this lane's poke advantage.
