LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose the sustained poke war — Caitlyn's range and Sona's healing outpace your short-trade pattern, and you cannot reliably all-in through Sona's W sustain at levels 1-3.
- Post-6, you have a kill window if you can land your R through Sona's E speed boost and follow with a full passive-stacking combo before Caitlyn can reposition.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to wait for Sona to use her Q offensively, then immediately dash in with E and proc your passive with Q and W before she can W-heal Caitlyn — the goal is to burst Caitlyn in a window where Sona's cooldowns are down.
- Never trade into a full-cooldown Sona; her W and E together negate most of your burst.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You want the wave bouncing back toward you or frozen near your tower — this forces Caitlyn to walk up into Veigar's E cage range and shortens the effective range gap.
- Avoid letting Caitlyn freely push because a pushed wave under your tower removes your all-in threat and lets her poke you for free.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your R as an opener into Sona's E speed boost — she will move Caitlyn out of your shots and you waste your primary damage tool.
- Also avoid extended fights at full health against this lane; you need to identify a specific window of Sona cooldowns being down, not just blindly engage.
