LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win the 2v2 due to superior range and Sona's poke synergy — Lucian must walk up to trade and you can punish him with headshot procs and Q before he closes the gap.
- Post-6, the lane becomes more volatile: Lucian's R-dash combo can burst through Sona's shields, and Veigar's R becomes a kill threat on you if you're low, so you no longer freely win extended fights.
Synergy & Trading
- Use your range to poke Lucian down before he can engage, then place a trap under him when he tries to walk up for a CS, forcing him to either take the root or back off.
- Coordinate with Sona's W heal and E speed to sustain through his short-trade burst and retaliate with Q after he's used his passive.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Push the wave consistently to deny Lucian his preferred short-trade pattern — he wants a bouncing wave to all-in under your tower, so keeping the wave in the middle or slightly toward his side forces him to CS under pressure.
- Avoid hard freezing since Veigar can stack his Q safely on a frozen wave near your tower.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not stand in predictable positions that let Veigar land his E cage on you — a caged Caitlyn is a dead Caitlyn because you have no mobility to escape and Lucian will immediately dash in for the full combo.
- Respect Veigar's R execute range when you're below 50% HP, as it will one-shot you regardless of how well you've played the lane.
