Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win the level 2 all-in decisively because your E+Q lockdown into Tristana's W jump burst exceeds what Alistar and Ezreal can output or survive, and Alistar's W+Q requires more setup time than your immediate lockdown; post-6, your R adds a point-and-click stun that chains into Tristana's full combo, and Ezreal's E is the only real escape tool — if you R him first, he dies before he can use it.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best trading pattern is to E onto Ezreal (the squishier, less mobile target when his E is on cooldown) rather than Alistar, apply Q stun, and let Tristana W jump and stack charges on him; Alistar's W+Q is dangerous to you only if you are the one being engaged on, so forcing him to react to your engage rather than initiating his own is key.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should roam aggressively after a successful all-in that burns Ezreal's flash or forces a recall, as Tristana can shove the wave and take plates alone with her range advantage; mid roams at level 6 with your R are high-value because most mid laners cannot handle a Leona R into their laner's follow-up, and Tristana does not need you present to farm safely.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not engage when Alistar's W+Q is clearly available and you have no minion wave to absorb his headbutt — being W+Q'd back into the enemy team while your E is on cooldown leaves Tristana in a 1v2 she will likely lose, and it completely wastes your engage pattern.
