LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, Zyra's plants and root give the enemy duo a significant damage advantage in extended trades, and your all-in at level 2 with E-W is risky because Zyra's E can interrupt or punish your engage before you lock down Smolder.
- Post-6, your R gives you a reliable initiation tool, but Zyra's R can counter-engage and stun both you and Ezreal if she has vision and positioning, so the 2v2 is not cleanly yours.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to wait for Zyra to misposition or waste her E, then hard engage with E-W onto Smolder, forcing Zyra to react rather than initiate her own combo; Smolder is the squishier and more punishable target early.
- Coordinate with Ezreal to burst Smolder in the lockdown window before Zyra's plants and R can stabilize the fight.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should roam when the wave is pushed to the enemy tower and Zyra has used her key cooldowns in a trade, ideally after level 6 when your R provides reliable setup for mid; Zyra's lack of mobility means she cannot follow quickly, giving you a tempo advantage.
- Avoid roaming when Smolder is low on stacks and Ezreal is left to face a Zyra who can freely zone and poke him alone.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not engage into Zyra's pre-placed plants or walk into her E blindly, as her root into plant burst will chunk you before you can complete your engage chain and the trade will be net negative.
- Your tankiness does not make you immune to Zyra's damage when her plants are active, and overcommitting on a bad angle is the primary way this lane goes wrong for you.
