Who Wins
- Pre-6, Draven + Nautilus wins most 2v2s because Nautilus's Q hook into Draven's early damage output is extremely punishing, and Leona has no meaningful engage until she lands E which can be interrupted or dodged.
- Post-6, you gain a strong all-in threat with R, but Nautilus R also provides a hard counter-engage, so the 2v2 remains contested rather than clearly in your favor.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to wait for Nautilus to commit his Q first, then immediately E onto Draven and chain your Q stun to extend lockdown while Aphelios unloads — never engage before Nautilus has used his hook or you risk being the one caught in his chain.
- Avoid short trades entirely since your kit is built for extended all-ins, and half-committing against Draven's burst will lose you health without securing a kill.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Push the wave aggressively when Nautilus's Q is on cooldown to deny Draven easy Spinning Axe catches, as Draven needs to reposition for axes and a fast-moving wave forces him into uncomfortable spots.
- Avoid freezing the wave deep in enemy territory since it exposes you and Aphelios to Nautilus hook angles with no escape.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not engage with E when Nautilus still has his Q available — you will be immediately counter-hooked and your team loses the all-in before it starts.
- Leona's biggest mistake in this matchup is over-committing to a trade without confirming Nautilus's cooldown state first.
