Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Lucian + Nautilus wins this lane — Nautilus hook into Lucian all-in is one of the strongest level 2 and 3 power spikes in the game, and your peel tools are reactive rather than proactive, meaning you will often be a step behind.
  • Post-6, the lane becomes more even because Yunara's R gives her sustained damage that Janna can extend with shields and disengage, but Nautilus ult into Lucian burst can still blow up Yunara before you respond.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to use W to slow Nautilus or Lucian when they engage, immediately shield Yunara with E to absorb burst, and use Q knockup as a last resort to interrupt Nautilus ult or Lucian all-in.
  • Do not use Q aggressively to poke — your value is entirely reactive peel here, and wasting Q on poke leaves Yunara exposed to the hook combo.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should not roam early in this matchup — Yunara is immobile pre-6 and Nautilus is one of the best supports at punishing an unpeeled ADC.
  • If you must roam, only do so after a successful shove that puts the wave under their tower and Yunara is safely at full health with no Nautilus hook available.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not position aggressively trying to W-poke Nautilus — he has enough tankiness to ignore it and your positioning forward gives him an easier hook angle onto you or Yunara.
  • Respect that Nautilus level 1 hook is a kill threat on Yunara if she is caught, so keep your Q available and stay between Nautilus and your ADC.
