Who Wins
- Pre-6, you and Nautilus lose to Swain + Vayne in a straight extended trade because Swain's passive drain and Vayne's Silver Bolts percent health damage outpace your poke damage over time; your advantage is burst combo on a hooked target, not sustained fighting.
- Post-6, you win if Nautilus lands R on Vayne and you immediately follow with your full damage rotation, but Swain's R makes him nearly unkillable in a prolonged fight, so you must burst Vayne before Swain can sustain through your damage.
Synergy & Trading
- Wait for Nautilus to land his Q or R before committing your full combo — your damage is highest on a CC'd target and you cannot afford to waste your rotation on a mobile Vayne who will just tumble away.
- Use your poke abilities to chip Vayne down between Nautilus engage attempts, forcing her to back or play passive before the all-in.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Push the wave efficiently with your AoE abilities to deny Vayne CS under pressure and to set up roam timings for Nautilus; a slow-pushed wave also gives you a safe position to poke from range.
- Avoid letting the wave freeze near their tower as Swain can sustain through poke and Vayne farms safely under tower.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not try to poke Swain as your primary target — his passive healing returns a significant portion of your poke damage and he will sustain through your chip damage while Vayne punishes you with Silver Bolts.
- Focus your poke on Vayne and only engage Swain when he is already low from a full combo.
