LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you have the range advantage and headshot traps to punish Taric's short engage range, but Mel's Q poke and W reflection make sustained all-in trading risky — you win by poking safely, not by committing to extended fights.
- Post-6, Taric's R combined with Mel's R execute is a lethal combination, and Zilean's R on you is your primary safety net, so avoid getting caught with high Overwhelm stacks at low HP.
Synergy & Trading
- Place traps in the brush Taric uses to hide for engage, denying him the safe approach angle and forcing him to walk up in the open where you can headshot him freely.
- When Mel uses her E to root, immediately back off rather than fighting through it — Taric will follow with his stun and the combined CC chain will delete you before Zilean's R can save you.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Maintain a slow push or slight freeze near your side of the lane to keep Taric from safely walking up — his engage requires closing distance, and a wave in your favor gives him less room to do so.
- Avoid hard pushing into their tower since Mel clears efficiently and will simply reset the wave while poking you under tower with her Q.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not stand in a position where Mel's E can root you and Taric can simultaneously reach you — the combined CC chain is your hardest counter in this lane and you have no reliable escape once both land.
- Respect the brush angles and keep enough distance that Taric's dash range cannot reach you without you having time to reposition.
