Pre-6, you win the 2v2 if Blitzcrank lands a hook — your range advantage and headshot passive let you punish hard after any successful engage, and Kai'Sa cannot trade back effectively at early levels without stacking.
Post-6, you retain the edge because your R gives you kill pressure at range that Kai'Sa cannot match in a straight 2v2, though Lux R adds burst that can flip a fight if you overextend.

Let Blitzcrank hook first, then immediately place a trap under the hooked target to guarantee a headshot proc and zone them off the wave — this two-step combo deals significant burst and forces a flash or summoner.
