Pre-6, Kalista + Leona win most 2v2 engages because Leona's level 2 all-in with E+Q is faster and more reliable than anything you can set up, and Kalista's rend stacks punish you hard if you're caught in Leona's lockdown.
Post-6, your R gives you a meaningful disengage and poke tool, but Kalista + Leona's R combination still threatens to kill you instantly if Leona lands her R, so you don't flip the lane post-6 — you just survive better.

Your best pattern is to use Gravitum (purple gun) to root Kalista when she tries to stack spears on you, then swap to Infernum (flame gun) to splash damage through her onto Leona if they're grouped.
Never commit to a full trade without Pantheon's W stun already landed — your damage output requires setup that you cannot generate alone against this dive-heavy duo.

Push the wave consistently when Leona is not at level 2 yet to deny her the all-in spike, and use Severum (red gun) to sustain through poke rather than backing early.
Once the wave is frozen near your tower, Leona has far less room to engage without overextending, which is your safest state in this matchup.

Do not auto-attack Kalista repeatedly without a root or stun on her — she will kite you, stack rend, and burst you down faster than you can kill her.
Chasing Kalista without crowd control is the single biggest mistake you can make as you have no mobility to close the gap if she dashes away.
