Who Wins

Pre-6, you lose the 2v2 if Leona engages cleanly — your Q+W+Q combo deals damage but Leona's tankiness and CC duration means she can absorb it and still lock down Jhin.
Post-6, your R fundamentally changes the dynamic by negating one kill attempt per fight, but Tristana's E can knock Jhin away mid-channel and Leona's peel-engage duality means you must prioritize W on Jhin reactively rather than proactively.

Your best trading pattern is to double-bomb Leona or Tristana when they step up to trade — land Q, immediately W to slow them, then land the second Q for the stun, giving Jhin a free W root follow-up.
Do not waste your Q+W+Q on minions; your mana pool is limited and you need the combo available for reactive defense against Leona's all-ins.

You should generally not roam pre-6 because Jhin has no mobility and Leona will immediately punish his isolation the moment you leave.
Post-6, brief roams to mid are viable after you've pushed the wave and Leona has used her E, but only if Jhin has enough health to survive a 1v2 for the 10–15 seconds you're gone.

Do not use your W offensively to speed Jhin into a trade when Leona still has her E available — you will accelerate him into a CC chain he cannot escape.
Save W primarily as a defensive tool to reposition Jhin away from Leona's engage or to reset his R channel after a stun.
