Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win the 2v2 if you hit your E+Q combo on Jhin specifically, as Zilean cannot output enough burst to kill you before your CC resolves and Tristana follows up.
- Post-6, the matchup becomes more dangerous because Zilean's R negates your all-in kill condition, meaning you need to bait out his R before committing to a full engage.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best trading pattern is to wait for Zilean to use his Q offensively or miss it, then immediately E onto Jhin, Q to stun, and let Tristana's E and autos do the damage while you hold Jhin in place.
- If you engage onto Zilean instead, Jhin can freely auto and W from range while you're tanking a double bomb — always prioritize the immobile carry.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should not roam pre-6 because Tristana has no reliable peel and Jhin's W root into Zilean's double bomb will kill her in a 2v1.
- Post-6, if you've established a health lead and the wave is pushed, a river roam to assist mid is viable, but only after confirming Zilean's R is on cooldown so Jhin cannot safely 1v1 Tristana.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not engage when Zilean has his Q+W+Q combo fully available and you are not tanky enough to absorb the stun — a double bomb stun on you while Jhin lands his W root means Tristana takes free damage with no follow-up.
- Always track Zilean's Q cooldown before committing your E, as his 18-second base cooldown gives you clear windows to engage safely.
