LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, Caitlyn outranges you significantly and Nautilus's hook sets up free headshots, making the 2v2 heavily favored for them — you lack the mobility to dodge hooks and your Q stacks don't build fast enough to win short trades.
- Post-6, your R transforms the dynamic: the permanent Q activation, upgraded W laser slow, and E dash let you sustain extended fights and reposition, but you still need to avoid getting hooked before R is active.
Synergy & Trading
- Let Zilean apply pressure with his W slow first to bait Nautilus into committing, then activate your Q and look for extended trades where your splash damage and crit passive stack up — short trades always favor Caitlyn's range advantage.
- Never initiate without Zilean's setup, as you have no reliable engage pre-6 and walking into Caitlyn's range without a slow on Nautilus is a death sentence.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Push the wave efficiently using Q active's splash damage to clear, which forces Caitlyn to either match your push or lose CS under tower — this reduces her ability to poke you freely at her preferred range.
- Avoid freezing near your tower since Nautilus hook into tower dive is a real threat; a slow push toward the enemy side gives you more room to react to hooks.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not activate R reactively after getting hooked — by the time Nautilus lands his chain, the CC chain into Caitlyn headshot will kill or cripple you before R's upgrades matter.
- Use R proactively when you see a fight developing, not as a panic button, since the 15-second window needs to be used offensively to justify the cooldown.
