Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you and Caitlyn win this lane — your hook into Caitlyn headshot is a reliable kill pattern on Yunara who has no mobility to dodge, and Zilean's W slow is the only real counter-tool but it requires him to predict your hook timing.
  • Post-6, Yunara's R gives her a dash that can dodge your hook if she reacts correctly, and Zilean's R revive means your all-in needs to burn both Zilean's R and Yunara's R before you can secure a kill.

Synergy & Trading

  • Hook Yunara specifically, not Zilean — Zilean is the support and trading into him wastes your hook cooldown while Yunara builds stacks safely.
  • After landing hook, root with your passive auto, let Caitlyn place a trap and land her Q, then use your E to keep Yunara in place for the full headshot combo before Zilean can W-slow you off.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should not roam aggressively because Yunara without your peel is extremely vulnerable to Zilean's double-Q bombs and slow, and leaving Caitlyn alone against a Zilean-buffed Yunara post-6 is dangerous.
  • If you do roam, do it only when the wave is crashing into the enemy tower and Caitlyn has enough range to safely farm without needing your engage threat.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not hook into Zilean's W slow — if Zilean pre-emptively slows you, your hook will miss or land at a bad angle, wasting your primary engage tool and giving Yunara a free trade window.
  • Wait for Zilean to use his W offensively on the wave or on Caitlyn before committing to your hook, as his cooldowns are long enough that you can punish the gap.
