LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, this lane is roughly even to slightly unfavorable: Vayne outranges you in short trades with her Q tumble repositioning, and Shen's E taunt forces you into extended fights where you lack mobility without R.
- Post-6, your R fundamentally shifts the 2v2 — the permanent Q activation, upgraded W laser slow, and E dash give you the sustained damage and mobility to outfight both Vayne and Shen in extended skirmishes, especially since Shen's R is on a long cooldown and can't always bail Vayne out.
Synergy & Trading
- Let Sona poke with her Q first to soften Vayne, then engage when Shen's E is on cooldown — if Shen taunts you without his E being baited, you're forced into a bad trade.
- Stack your passive on minions before committing, activate your Q for the attack speed burst, and use your W slow to prevent Vayne from tumbling away; your W lingering at the endpoint is key to zoning her repositioning.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You want to push the wave efficiently using Q's splash damage on-hit to clear faster, then look for short poke windows when Vayne overextends for CS.
- Avoid freezing — you need the wave near your tower only if you're behind, because your kit rewards aggressive positioning and Shen can dive you under tower with his R from anywhere on the map.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not activate R reactively after Shen's E taunts you — your E dash during R is your escape tool and wasting it inside a taunt means you're locked in with no mobility for the full taunt duration.
- Respect Vayne's late-game scaling; even with R active, a fed Vayne with Shen peel will outscale you if you don't convert your mid-game R windows into actual kills or significant leads.
