Pre-6, you lose a straight 2v2 if Leona hits her E on you — Leona level 2 spike is the most dangerous moment in this lane and you must respect it by staying at max range and not overextending for CS.
Post-6, your R makes you nearly untouchable in Leona's all-in window, which completely flips the dynamic: you can bait her engage, R to dodge her chain, and punish with feathers while Zyra's plants are active.

Your best pattern is to stack feathers with W and auto-attacks during Zyra's E root window, then pull them back through the rooted target for maximum damage — the feather pull through a rooted Leona or Sivir is your highest damage output moment.
Do not try to fight without feathers on the ground; your damage without the pull is mediocre and Leona will out-trade you in that state.

You want to match Zyra's slow-push strategy and avoid hard-shoving, since Sivir's wave clear is strong and will just reset the wave while Leona looks for an engage angle.
Use your range advantage to poke Sivir during her Q animation and deny her passive shield by not trading into it directly.

Do not use your R reactively to just survive — save it specifically for Leona's E+R combo, which is the only CC chain that can kill you through your kit.
Using R early to dodge a minor stun means you have no escape when Leona flashes for the kill.
