LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose the 2v2 because Caitlyn outranges you significantly and your level 1-2 all-in requires Alistar to land his W-Q first — if Thresh E-interrupts that engage, your window collapses entirely.
- Post-6, your R gives you a knockback that can separate Thresh from Caitlyn or peel Alistar off you, and your jump mobility makes you harder to hook, shifting the matchup closer to even if you have a gold lead.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best trading pattern is to wait for Alistar to land W-Q on Caitlyn, then immediately E onto Caitlyn and burst her before Thresh can E-interrupt or Q you — the combo must be instant because Caitlyn's headshot passive and Q deal significant damage if the trade extends.
- Outside of Alistar's engage window, avoid extended trades at Caitlyn's max range; instead, use your E to reposition laterally and force her to reposition her trap placements.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You want to push the wave fast with your W to deny Caitlyn her slow-push setup and force the wave to reset frequently — this reduces the number of traps she can place in meaningful positions and keeps the lane state dynamic.
- A frozen wave near your tower is dangerous because Caitlyn can poke you freely while you CS under tower, so prioritize resetting wave states rather than holding a freeze.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your E aggressively onto Caitlyn unless Alistar has already landed his engage — jumping in without Alistar's crowd control means you eat a headshot, Q, and Thresh E-Q chain while your E is on cooldown and you have no escape.
- Respect Thresh's Q range at all times; he will look to hook you when you jump in, and a hooked Tristana with no E is a dead Tristana.
