Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you and Samira have the lane advantage: your hook range forces Alistar to play back or get punished before he can engage, and Sivir's E has a cooldown that you can track and exploit.
  • Post-6, Alistar's R removes your kill pressure on him directly, so your win condition shifts to hooking Sivir and letting Samira burst her before Alistar can peel.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to hook Sivir when her E is on cooldown, then immediately E-slow her so Samira can dash in and stack passive — the combination of your hook and slow gives Samira the time she needs to fully combo.
  • If you hook Alistar instead, Samira has no safe target and the trade likely goes even or worse.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Roaming is risky in this matchup because Sivir's wave clear will crash the wave and give Samira a terrible position to defend alone — only roam if you have landed a hook that burns Sivir's flash or E and the wave is already pushed to their tower.
  • Mid roams at level 6 with your R available are more viable, but telegraph them carefully since Sivir's W push will punish a slow roam.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not throw your E lantern toward Samira during a fight expecting her to use it — she will often ignore it to maintain her combo chain and passive stacks.
  • Use E offensively to slow Sivir during a trade rather than saving it as a reactive peel tool.
