Who Wins

  • Pre-6, your E and Q combination gives you strong all-in potential, but Nautilus's tankiness and passive shield mean short trades favor him if he gets close — you win the lane through poke and zone control, not extended brawling.
  • Post-6, Nautilus's R negates your ability to reposition and makes the 2v2 all-in heavily favor them, so you must have already built a lead or be playing defensively.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to use E to zone Jinx off the wave, then Q onto Nautilus when he overextends to punish his engage attempts — this forces him to either back off or burn his Q defensively.
  • Lantern Ashe during Nautilus's R to give her a repositioning option, as that is your most impactful play in a losing all-in.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should roam when the wave is crashed and Ashe can safely freeze or disengage — your Q and E make you one of the strongest roaming supports, and a mid kill translates directly into reducing Jinx's scaling window.
  • Avoid roaming when Nautilus has his R up and Ashe is low, as leaving her alone against a Nautilus R setup is a death sentence.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not throw your Q into Nautilus as your primary engage target — he is too tanky to kill quickly and his E will root you in return, leaving Ashe exposed to Jinx's follow-up damage.
  • Your hook should target Jinx to remove her from the fight, not the tank who wants to be in melee range anyway.
