Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you have a meaningful range and poke advantage — your W harass and passive-empowered autos let you whittle down Jinx and Nautilus before they can engage, and Nautilus cannot reliably land his Q through your W slow kiting.
  • Post-6, the matchup becomes much more dangerous because Nautilus's R removes your ability to kite, and you must respect the all-in threat at all times.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to use W to poke Jinx specifically (she has no escape), keep the wave in a state where Nautilus cannot safely walk up to Q, and use your passive-empowered auto to win short trades when Thresh has already burned his E.
  • Never commit to a long trade where Nautilus's passive stacks can shred your health.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You want to slow-push and crash waves to deny Jinx CS under tower, then reset — Jinx has no reliable wave clear early and will struggle under tower with rockets on cooldown.
  • Avoid letting the wave freeze on your side, as it gives Nautilus a safe bush angle to Q you without minion interference.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use your R reactively after Nautilus has already landed his Q — the correct play is to R Nautilus before he reaches you to interrupt his engage, not after you're already rooted.
  • Saving your R as a defensive tool rather than an offensive one is critical in this matchup.
