Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you and Ziggs win this lane: your W directly neutralizes Blitzcrank's entire kit, and Ziggs poke forces Xayah to play passively or take repeated damage.
  • Post-6, you continue to win because you can W Ziggs away from Xayah's E root, and your own R provides a repositioning tool that makes all-in attempts from Blitzcrank extremely difficult to execute.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best trading pattern is to stand slightly in front of Ziggs to bait Blitzcrank's Q, then W yourself or Ziggs to cancel the hook's follow-up, and immediately use your Q slow to let Ziggs land a free Q poke on the now-overextended Blitzcrank.
  • Do not use W preemptively before the hook lands, as you need to confirm the grab before committing the ability.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should not roam early because your primary value is keeping Ziggs safe from Blitzcrank hooks, and leaving lane removes that protection entirely.
  • If Ziggs has pushed the wave and has his R available, a level 6 roam to mid using your R to reposition can be impactful, but only when the wave is clearly in the enemy tower and Blitzcrank has used his Q recently.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use W to swallow Ziggs reactively on every Blitzcrank Q attempt if Ziggs is not actually grabbed, as the cooldown is long and burning it on a missed hook leaves Ziggs unprotected for a significant window.
  • Also avoid standing so far back that you cannot reach Ziggs in time to W him, since your positioning relative to your ADC is your most important mechanical responsibility in this lane.
