LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose the 2v2 because Lux's range keeps you from safely walking up to threaten Caitlyn, and your Q tongue lash is a single skillshot that Caitlyn can sidestep while auto-attacking you from outside your threat range.
- Post-6, the matchup becomes more manageable because your R gives you engage potential and your W can negate Caitlyn's R or Lux's R, but you still do not win a straight fight; your role is to create one kill window, not to brawl.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to use terrain or minion cover to close distance without eating Lux's E, then land your Q to root a target and immediately W Kai'Sa into position for her R engage; this two-step setup is your only reliable kill pattern.
- Do not try to sustain through poke with your W on yourself repeatedly, as it does not generate enough value compared to saving it for a decisive play.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should not roam; your movement speed and lack of mobility make roaming inefficient, and leaving Kai'Sa alone against Caitlyn and Lux is a near-certain death sentence for her.
- Your value is entirely in staying bot lane, absorbing poke with your passive, and creating the one CC chain that lets Kai'Sa kill someone.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your W to shield yourself from poke in lane, as it depletes a resource that should be saved to either save Kai'Sa from Caitlyn's R or to reposition Kai'Sa for a kill.
- Burning W reactively to survive a trade means Kai'Sa has no safety net when the real kill attempt comes.
