Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win the 2v2 because your E-Q combo outranges both Kai'Sa and Tahm Kench, and a landed root into Caitlyn headshot is a near-guaranteed kill threat at level 2-3 before Kai'Sa has her E dash.
  • Post-6, you still win but the matchup becomes more volatile because Tahm Kench's R can absorb your R or save Kai'Sa, so you must coordinate your R timing with Caitlyn's traps to ensure the target is locked down before you commit.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to land E on Tahm Kench specifically, not Kai'Sa, because rooting Tahm forces him to either tank the follow-up or burn his W to shield, removing his ability to peel for Kai'Sa; Caitlyn then freely headshots Kai'Sa while she is unprotected.
  • If you root Kai'Sa instead, Tahm Kench can simply W her to safety, wasting your combo.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should not roam early unless the wave is fully pushed and Caitlyn can safely hold lane alone, because Kai'Sa scales hard and leaving Caitlyn 1v2 against Tahm Kench's CC is dangerous.
  • The optimal roam timing is post-first-back with Luden's or Shard, when your burst is high enough to one-rotation a mid laner and return before the wave crashes; mid roams are more impactful than bot-to-top given your immobility.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use your E as a pure damage tool in a straight line toward them, as experienced players will simply walk out of the detonation zone; instead, use it to cut off escape paths or zone them off the wave.
  • Wasting your E on a dodged skillshot removes your entire kill threat for its cooldown duration.
