Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Miss Fortune and Vel'Koz have significantly more poke range and burst potential than your lane can sustain through — Vel'Koz's Q and W combo at level 2-3 chunks hard and your Q heals are not instant enough to offset the pressure.
  • Post-6, your R gives you global save utility but the 2v2 itself remains unfavorable since Vel'Koz R into MF R is a kill combo that your silence and heals cannot fully negate.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best trading pattern is to use Q to poke Vel'Koz specifically, since he is the squishier and less mobile target, then immediately W yourself or Yunara when MF retaliates with her passive double-shot or E.
  • Never commit to extended trades because Vel'Koz stacks his passive passive and Yunara needs time to ramp, which means prolonged fights favor the enemy.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Push the wave fast with Yunara's Q splash damage to deny Vel'Koz free poke on you under turret — standing in an open wave gives him easy W and E stacks.
  • Once you have a health lead, freeze near your turret to force MF and Vel'Koz to overextend for CS, making them vulnerable to jungle ganks.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not spam E aggressively to silence MF or Vel'Koz unless Yunara is already in a winning trade position — burning E offensively leaves you with no interrupt when Vel'Koz channels R or MF channels R.
  • Also avoid over-healing Yunara through poke without repositioning, because it trains you to stand in bad spots and wastes mana against a lane that will simply poke you both out.
