- Pre-6, you and Karthus win this lane — your healing negates Vayne's W stacks before they become lethal and your Q poke combined with Karthus's Q makes trading unfavorable for them; post-6, Swain's R healing creates a sustain war you can still win, but you must silence Swain with your E before he activates R to reduce his healing window.
Synergy & Trading
- Use your E silence proactively when Swain walks up to root Karthus — interrupting his E before it lands prevents the entire Swain-Vayne combo from starting, and then immediately Q Vayne to slow her and heal Karthus if he took any damage.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should generally not roam because Karthus needs your healing to survive Swain's all-in attempts and your global R is your primary contribution to other lanes — use your R when you see low-health allies elsewhere rather than physically leaving the lane.
Mistakes to Avoid
