Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you lose the poke war — Caitlyn's range and Lux's E+Q poke will chip you down faster than you can sustain, and Leona's engage windows are limited by Lux's root threat.
  • Post-6, the lane becomes more even because your R gives your team engage tools and Leona's R combined with yours creates a strong all-in that Caitlyn struggles to kite out of cleanly.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to use W to block Lux's Q (the primary CC threat) and then immediately look for an all-in with Leona, since Lux is now on a long cooldown and Caitlyn has no peel.
  • Avoid extended poke trades — use Q to farm safely from range and wait for Leona to find an engage after Lux's key abilities are burned.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Use your wave clear to shove waves back quickly after Caitlyn pushes, denying her the ability to permanently freeze or slow-push against you — your E bounce clear is efficient enough to reset wave states.
  • In early levels, prioritize using Q to CS safely from range rather than pushing aggressively into Lux's poke range.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use W reactively on Lux's E (the shield) — save it specifically for Lux's Q root or Caitlyn's E net, as those are the abilities that enable kill attempts on you.
  • Burning W on the wrong ability leaves you vulnerable to the actual lockdown that follows.
