Who Wins

Pre-6, you lose the lane if you try to engage into Lux's Q range — she can root you before you reach Caitlyn, and Caitlyn's trap + headshot will punish you heavily.
Post-6, your R+E+Q all-in becomes a genuine kill threat, especially if Sivir uses R first to close the gap and you land your R on Caitlyn who is repositioning.

Your best pattern is to wait for Lux to use Q or E offensively and miss, then immediately E onto Caitlyn and chain Q to lock her in place for Sivir's follow-up damage.
Do not engage when both Lux abilities are up — the root duration is long enough to completely shut down your all-in before it deals meaningful damage.

You should not roam — your engage is only valuable when paired with Sivir, and leaving her alone against Caitlyn's push and Lux's poke will result in a lost tower or a picked Sivir.
Stay in lane, look for all-in windows post-6, and trust that your R setup is your primary contribution.

Do not E onto Caitlyn when she has a trap placed directly behind her — she places traps specifically to punish your engage path and the root will leave you immobilized in a bad position.
Always check trap placement before committing your E, and look to engage from angles where the trap is not covering your landing zone.
