LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you and Caitlyn win the poke war because your E root combined with her headshot range outranges Brand's combo initiation, but Brand's level 2 all-in with E+Q stun is a genuine kill threat if you are caught without your E up; post-6, your R can chain CC into a kill but Brand's R bouncing in a two-person lane is extremely dangerous, making the 2v2 roughly even with kill threat on both sides.
Synergy & Trading
- Use your W to heal Caitlyn during extended poke trades and save your E to interrupt Brand's Q stun attempt rather than using it aggressively first; when Brand is on cooldown, layer your Q slow into Caitlyn's Q for safe, sustained damage without overextending.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should roam when Caitlyn has enough wave pressure to shove and reset safely, typically after a successful kill or when both enemies recall; your R is one of the strongest roam tools in the game for mid-lane skirmishes, so look to roam at 6 if mid lane has a setup, but do not roam if Brand is missing as Caitlyn becomes extremely vulnerable alone.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your E aggressively to initiate trades when Brand still has his E available, as he can immediately counter-engage and stun both of you before your root resolves; your E is primarily a defensive peel and CC chain tool in this matchup, not an opener.
