Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Xerath outpokes you at extreme range and Aphelios trades favorably in short exchanges, meaning you lose sustained poke wars and direct 2v2s — play to collect souls and avoid extended trades.
  • Post-6, you gain meaningful all-in threat with Twitch's R, but Xerath's E disrupts your Q root setup, so you still do not win a clean 2v2 unless you land your CC first.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your optimal pattern is to root Aphelios or Xerath with your Q, immediately follow with your W slow to keep them in Twitch's passive range, and let Twitch stack and burst — your role is pure setup, not damage leading.
  • Avoid trading with your auto-attacks into Aphelios's range without a CC chain ready, as he will out-sustain your poke with his own kit.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should roam when the wave is crashed and Twitch can safely back or hold — your R has global range and can turn fights across the map without you leaving lane, so prioritize R assists over physical roams early.
  • If you do roam physically, do it post-6 when your R can cover Twitch's vulnerability, and target mid-lane where your Q root creates easy kills for assassins or mages.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not try to out-poke Xerath in a long-range war — his range exceeds yours and he will consistently win that exchange while Aphelios zones Twitch off farm.
  • Wasting your Q on a missed root is especially punishing here because it is your only reliable setup tool for Twitch to engage safely.
