LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose the level 2 spike to Thresh — his Q+E threat forces you to play passively right as you want to be aggressive, and Lucian's double-shot punishes any W shield attempt that puts you in range.
- Post-6, your W+R combo is your win condition, but Thresh's Q can intercept your W dash if he reads the angle, so you need to approach from an unexpected vector.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best trading pattern is to bait Thresh's Q with a fake W approach, then immediately re-engage from a different angle once his Q is on cooldown — Kai'Sa follows up with Q stacks while you apply your E slow and W shield.
- Never use W as your opener into a Thresh who has Q available; the hook range covers your dash distance and you will be CC'd mid-animation.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should roam aggressively once Kai'Sa can safely farm under tower or has a freeze established — your W+R is one of the strongest roam tools in the game and mid lane kills translate directly into Kai'Sa's item spike.
- Do not roam when Lucian has shoved the wave and is threatening your tower, as Kai'Sa cannot handle the 1v2 dive that Lucian and Thresh will execute.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your R as a pure engage tool into a Thresh who has his box available — landing your entire team inside a box after your R knockup expires is a fight-losing mistake.
- Your R is most effective as a follow-up after Thresh has already burned his E, or as a disengage tool when Lucian has overextended past his E cooldown.
