LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win the 2v2 if you can force short trades with your passive double-shot and E dash before Rakan can land his W engage — Kai'Sa has no reliable poke to contest your range advantage early.
- Post-6, the matchup becomes more volatile because Rakan's W into your R can interrupt your dash-cancel combos and Kai'Sa's R lets her reposition into your face after you've spent your E.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best trading pattern is to bait out Rakan's W or Kai'Sa's Q stack attempt, then immediately E forward into a passive proc + Q + passive proc burst window — Thresh should hook Rakan during this window to prevent the shield and follow-up CC.
- Never extend a trade past your E cooldown without Thresh's box available, because Kai'Sa out-sustains you in prolonged exchanges once she has Kraken.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You want to push the wave consistently to deny Kai'Sa passive stacks on minions and force her to CS under tower, which disrupts her Q stack farming pattern.
- Shoving also creates roam pressure for Thresh and denies Rakan the ability to freely roam without losing tower plates.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your E reactively to dodge Rakan's W after it's already airborne — the cast time is too short and you will waste your escape tool while still taking the knockup.
- Burning E defensively leaves you with no mobility for the follow-up trade that your kit requires to deal meaningful damage.
