LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you have engage threat that Lux and Xayah cannot fully answer if you bait out Lux's Q first — however, Lux's E covers a wide area and Xayah's passive feathers mean any trade you initiate into their setup is likely to go poorly.
- Post-6, Xayah's R removes her from your W engage window and Lux's R threatens you immediately after you land, making all-ins significantly riskier unless you have a clear lead.
Synergy & Trading
- Bait Lux's Q by walking aggressively into her range, then immediately dash back with your E — once her Q is on cooldown, engage with W onto Xayah or Lux and let Caitlyn follow with her combo.
- Avoid trading when Xayah has a full feather spread on the ground, as the return damage from her passive will punish your melee proximity severely.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should roam, but only after a successful all-in that burns Xayah and Lux's summoners or forces them to back — roaming while the lane is even leaves Caitlyn in a 1v2 she cannot sustain against Lux's poke.
- Optimal roam timing is post-first-back when you have your W upgraded and can reach mid lane quickly; Lux's immobility makes her a poor chaser if Caitlyn needs to retreat.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your W as a pure engage tool when Lux has her E pre-placed in your landing zone — landing inside her E means you take the full burst before your shield from W activates meaningfully.
- Also avoid using your R reactively to heal when you are already inside Xayah's feather pattern, as the delay gives her time to proc the return damage before your heal resolves.
