Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Zac + Jhin wins the 2v2 — Zac's level 2 E engage is faster and more reliable than your hook, and Jhin's W root layered on top of a Zac land means you die before you can stun.
  • Post-6, you gain kill pressure with your R reset mechanic, but only if you can land your E stun into a hook chain; Zac's R can interrupt your setup and Jhin's W can root you out of your own engage.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is Q hook from fog of war or a bush angle, immediately follow with E to stun, then let Kai'Sa stack plasma — do not try to hook into an open lane where Jhin can see you winding up, because he will sidestep and punish your missed hook with a W root and 4th shot combo.
  • Your W slow is best used to secure a fleeing target or to disengage when Zac is diving you, not as an opener.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Yes, roam — your R reset makes you one of the strongest roaming supports in the game, and Kai'Sa is self-sufficient enough to hold lane short-term.
  • Optimal roam windows are after a successful level 6 kill bot that resets your R, or when the wave is shoved in and Jhin is forced to CS under tower; mid roams with your jungler for a triple R reset are high-value and can snowball the game.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use your E as a panic button when Zac engages onto you — your E is your only reliable stun and burning it defensively leaves Kai'Sa with no follow-up damage and no kill setup.
  • Staying too long in lane when you have R available and a roam opportunity is also a significant mistake, as your gold-sharing R mechanic means roaming is almost always more valuable than sitting bot.
