Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Jhin + Zac has the edge: Zac's E engage at level 2 is a hard threat, and Jhin's 4th shot passive punishes you heavily if you get caught in Zac's setup — you lack the mobility to escape early.
  • Post-6, the 2v2 shifts slightly in your favor if you can proc your passive stacks on Jhin and use your R to reposition out of Zac's engage range, but Zac's R still hard-counters your dive pattern.

Synergy & Trading

  • Let Pyke hook first to create displacement, then immediately stack your Q on the rooted target and follow with W for vision and pressure — never auto-trade into Jhin without Pyke's setup because Jhin's 4th shot and passive movement speed on crits will outdamage your raw autos in a straight exchange.
  • Your damage only becomes threatening once you have plasma stacks, so avoid short trades that don't let you complete the proc.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Push the wave consistently to deny Jhin his preferred poke range — Jhin wants a slow, spread-out wave where he can land W roots and 4th shots safely, so a fast-pushed wave forces him under tower and reduces his ability to set up Zac engages.
  • Avoid freezing unless you have deep vision, because a frozen wave near their tower is a free Zac E angle onto you.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not walk up to CS without checking Zac's position — his E has a deceptively long range and a successful engage into Jhin's W root is a near-guaranteed kill on you pre-6.
  • Burning your E to dodge a Zac engage when you needed it to escape Jhin's 4th shot is a common mistake that leads to a double kill for the enemy.
